If you are in downtown Annapolis, start at the Annapolis City Dock. Head northeast on Dock Street towards Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with West Street. Turn left onto West Street and walk for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Franklin Street. Turn right onto Franklin Street. Banneker-Douglass Museum will be on your left at 84 Franklin St, just a short walk from West Street.

From the Maryland State House, which is a central point in Annapolis, walk to the nearest bus stop on State Circle. Take the Annapolis Transit bus Route 3, heading towards the Parole area. Ride the bus for approximately 10 minutes and disembark at the Franklin Street stop. Walk north on Franklin Street for a few minutes, and you will arrive at Banneker-Douglass Museum located at 84 Franklin St.
