Public Transportation
From Bethesda, walk to the Bethesda Metro Station located at 7400 Wisconsin Ave. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Ride the train for approximately 20 minutes and get off at Union Station. Once you exit Union Station, head northeast towards Massachusetts Ave NE. The Smithsonian's National Postal Museum will be on your left at 2 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002.

If you prefer to walk, start at the Bethesda Metro Station and head east on Wisconsin Ave towards Montgomery Ave. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rockville Pike (MD-355). Cross over to the other side of the street and head south. Follow MD-355 until it becomes 15th St NW and continue walking straight. You will eventually reach the National Mall.
