From the Bethesda station, catch the Metrobus (Line 34 or 36) from the bus stop at Wisconsin Avenue & Montgomery Lane. Ride the bus for about 15-20 minutes and get off at the stop at 14th St NW & Pennsylvania Ave NW. Walk a short distance east along Pennsylvania Avenue NW for about 0.2 miles (approximately 4 minutes) to reach the World War I Memorial at 1449-1455 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

If you prefer to walk, start at the Bethesda Metro Station and head south on Wisconsin Avenue. Continue straight and turn left onto Montgomery Lane. Follow Montgomery Lane until it intersects with Woodmont Avenue, then turn right. Continue on Woodmont Avenue until you reach the intersection with Old Georgetown Road (MD-187). Turn left onto Old Georgetown Road and follow it until you reach the Rock Creek Park Trail. Follow the trail south towards Washington, DC. Eventually, you'll arrive at the World War I Memorial after approximately 3.5 miles of walking, which should take around 1 hour and 10 minutes.
