Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From downtown Columbia, take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Bus 301 towards Ellicott City. Board the bus at the Columbia Mall stop. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the 'Ellicott City - Baltimore National Pike' stop. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles west on Baltimore National Pike (MD-144) until you reach the entrance of Patapsco Valley State Park - Hollofield Area.

  • Bicycle

    If you are cycling from Columbia, start by heading southwest on the pathways towards the Columbia Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with MD-108. Turn left onto MD-108 and ride until you reach the intersection with Baltimore National Pike (MD-144). Turn right onto Baltimore National Pike and continue for about 2 miles until you see the entrance to Patapsco Valley State Park - Hollofield Area on your left.

    If you prefer to walk, start from downtown Columbia and head towards the Columbia Trail. Follow the trail to MD-108.
