From the main entrance of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, head southeast on Key Wallace Drive. Follow the signs for Wildlife Drive and continue on this scenic route for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 16. Turn left onto Route 16 and proceed for approximately 2 miles. Then, take a right onto Tyaskin Road (also known as Cackley Road). Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach Shiles Creek, located on your right. There are no entrance fees to access Shiles Creek, but be mindful of the speed limits and wildlife crossing signs along your route.
