Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Route 50 East. Follow the signs for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue on Route 50 and take the exit toward MD-404 North towards Easton. Follow MD-404 North for about 15 miles, then merge onto MD-333 South towards St. Michaels. Follow MD-333 until you reach the junction with MD-33. Turn left onto MD-33 East and continue for several miles until you reach the picturesque views of Eastern Bay. Look out for signs indicating the bay area.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from various locations in the Eastern Shore towards Easton. Check the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) for schedules and routes. Once in Easton, you may need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Eastern Bay, as public transport options may be limited in that area. Expect to pay around $20-$30 for the taxi ride depending on your starting point in Easton.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking can be a rewarding way to reach Eastern Bay. Start from Easton and take the scenic backroads, including MD-333, which has bike-friendly lanes. It’s approximately a 10-mile ride from Easton to the bay, so make sure to plan for a leisurely pace and carry water and snacks. If you're biking from further away, ensure your route is safe and bike-friendly by checking local maps.

• Walking

  Walking to Eastern Bay is not practical from nearby towns due to distance, but if you're close to the bay, you can enjoy a scenic walk along the shoreline. For those who prefer walking from Easton, plan for a long trek of about 10 miles, which could take several hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water, as well as sun protection.
