If you're traveling by car, start on US-50 E from any point in the Eastern Shore. Continue on US-50 E towards the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Cross the bridge and merge onto I-97 N. Once on I-97 N, take the exit for I-695 N towards Towson. Stay on I-695 N and follow signs for I-95 N. Take exit 53 for I-95 N towards Wilmington. After about 6 miles, take exit 53B for I-395 N towards Downtown Baltimore. Continue straight onto the ramp and follow signs for the Inner Harbor. Once you reach the Inner Harbor area, follow signs to Pier 3 where the USCG Lightship Chesapeake is located. Parking may incur a fee in the area, typically around $5-$10 depending on the duration.

For public transportation, start by taking a Greyhound or Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus from any major town in the Eastern Shore to Baltimore. Once you arrive at the Baltimore Bus Terminal, transfer to the Light RailLink at the Baltimore Arena Light Rail Station. Take the Light RailLink towards Hunt Valley and disembark at the Baltimore Arena stop. From there, it is a short walk to the Inner Harbor area. Follow the signs or use a map application to reach Pier 3, where the USCG Lightship Chesapeake is located.
