From Elk Neck State Park, head south on Elk Neck Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with MD-272. Turn left onto MD-272 South. Follow MD-272 for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with Telegraph Road (MD-274). Turn right onto Telegraph Road. Plumpton Park Zoo will be on your left at 1416 Telegraph Rd, Rising Sun, MD 21911. The total distance is about 12 miles and should take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Unfortunately, public transportation options are limited in this area. The closest major public transport hub is in Elkton, MD. From Elk Neck State Park, you would need to drive or take a taxi to Elkton. From there, you can look for a local taxi service to take you to Plumpton Park Zoo, which is about 15 miles away.
