From Gaithersburg, head to the Gaithersburg Transit Center located at 1 Montgomery Ave. Take the Ride On bus #55 towards the Rockville Metro Station. Get off at the Rockville Metro Station and transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel south and get off at the Dupont Circle Station. From there, exit the station and walk to the nearest bus stop for the D6 bus towards the National Mall. Ride the D6 bus for several stops until you reach the stop at Wisconsin Ave & M St NW. From there, it’s a short walk to Georgetown Waterfront Park at 3303 Water St NW.
