Public Bus
From Gaithersburg, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Ride On Bus Route 55 toward the Shady Grove Metro Station. Get off at the Shady Grove Metro Station and transfer to the Metro's Red Line heading toward Glenmont. Travel north until you reach the Rockville Metro Station. From Rockville, transfer to the Metrobus Route 40 heading towards Leesburg. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the Loudoun Museum stop at 16 Loudoun St SW, Leesburg, VA.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program in Gaithersburg. Start by heading north on MD-355 N (also known as Frederick Ave). Continue on MD-355 N for approximately 7 miles until you reach the intersection with VA-7 W. Turn left onto VA-7 W and follow the signs for Leesburg. Once you enter Leesburg, continue to follow VA-7 until you reach Loudoun St SW. Turn right on Loudoun St SW and the Loudoun Museum will be on your left.
Taxi or Rideshare
Use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft to request a ride from your location in Gaithersburg to the Loudoun Museum at 16 Loudoun St SW, Leesburg, VA.
