Getting There

  • Metro

    From Rockville Metro Station, take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Travel for 7 stops and disembark at the King Street-Old Town Metro Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the King Street exit. After exiting, turn left onto King Street and walk east for about 0.5 miles until you reach S Alfred St. Turn right on S Alfred St, and you will find the Friendship Firehouse at 107 S Alfred St on your left.

    From Rockville, head to the closest bus stop and take the Ride On Bus Route 46 towards the Glenmont Metro Station. Get off at the Rockville Town Center stop after approximately 10 minutes. Transfer to the Metrobus Route 11 towards Alexandria, VA. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop for King Street and S Alfred St. From there, walk south on S Alfred St for just a couple of minutes, and you will arrive at the Friendship Firehouse located at 107 S Alfred St.

Alternatively, if you are feeling adventurous, you can walk to the Friendship Firehouse. It is about 10 miles away, which could take roughly 2-3 hours. Head southeast on E Montgomery Ave, continue onto E Jefferson St, and keep going straight until you reach the waterfront area in Old Town Alexandria. Continue onto S Alfred St, and the Friendship Firehouse will be on your left at 107 S Alfred St.
