From Rockville Metro Station, take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Travel for 9 stops and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Here, transfer to the Yellow Line towards Greenbelt. Travel for 2 stops and get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Blue Line towards Largo Town Center and travel for 1 stop to the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro Station. Exit the station and walk east on M Street SE for a couple of blocks. Turn left on South Capitol Street SE, and Nationals Park will be on your left.

From Rockville, find the nearest bus stop for the Ride On bus service. Take the Route 46 bus towards the Shady Grove Metro Station. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the Shady Grove Metro Station. Then, take the Red Line towards Glenmont for 9 stops to Gallery Place-Chinatown. Transfer to the Yellow Line towards Greenbelt for 2 stops to L'Enfant Plaza. Finally, switch to the Blue Line towards Largo Town Center for 1 stop to the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro Station. Walk east on M Street SE, turn left on South Capitol Street SE, and you'll find Nationals Park on your left.
