Getting There

• Metro

  Start at the Silver Spring Metro Station on the Red Line. Board a train heading towards Glenmont. After 10 stops, disembark at the Baltimore Arena (Light Street) station. From the station, walk southeast on Light St towards E Pratt St for approximately 0.4 miles. Turn right onto E Pratt St, and you will find the Star Spangled Banner Flag House at 844 E Pratt St.

• Bus

  From Silver Spring, head to the nearest bus stop for the Metrobus Line J4, which travels to Baltimore. Board the bus and ride for approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Baltimore Arena stop. Walk southeast on Light St towards E Pratt St for about 0.4 miles, then turn right onto E Pratt St. The Star Spangled Banner Flag House will be located at 844 E Pratt St.

• Bike

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike share station in Silver Spring. Head southeast along MD-29 (Colesville Rd) towards Baltimore. This route is approximately 10 miles long and will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Baltimore, continue on Light St until you reach E Pratt St. Turn right onto E Pratt St, and you will find the Star Spangled Banner Flag House at 844 E Pratt St.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk the distance from Silver Spring to Baltimore, which is about 10 miles. Starting from the Silver Spring Metro Station, head southeast on Colesville Rd. Take the pedestrian path along the road and follow it until you reach Light St in Baltimore. From there, continue walking southeast on Light St, then turn right onto E Pratt St. The Star Spangled Banner Flag House will be located at 844 E Pratt St.
