Private tour with Stephen! The tour was beyond our expectations. He delved into history to further our understanding of how Boston was formed. Then seeing the where of these activities pulled it all together.

Boston’s North End Food Tour: Italian Flavors and Heritage Walk

Fun and delicious!

Our group tour with Chanta was just 4 guests and our guide. Chanta selected arguable the best of each food category, and each selection was delicious! His stories relating the history of the North End were engaging. The Modern cannolis were heavenly! The caffe Vittoria was a charming reminder of days past. We enjoyed all the food and our guide, Chanda, very much!

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE

Our tour guide was Lexi with Intrepid Urban Adventures via the Viator app and she was amazing! Loved getting to have a local’s perspective throughout the tour and recommendations for the rest of our trip. Lexi was very accommodating for every person on our tour. Letting us know where restrooms were, where to get extra drinks along the way, and making sure no one was left behind. We saw several other tours on our walk and they didn’t seem as personal or intimate as ours. The other tours had very large groups with someone talking on a microphone with each person in the group using ear buds to hear what the tour operator was saying. We only had about 10 people in our group so it was easier for all of us to stay together and even ask questions throughout. We even had time to purchase items at the stores we visited and I was able to try a pistachio martini at the coffee cafe that was recommended by our tour guide. One of the best martinis I’ve ever had! The food we tried in Little Italy was delicious and good portion sizes! Sandwiches, pizza, cannolis, oh my! I was stuffed by the end of the trip. I also liked how we got to go inside the Old North Church as part of the experience. That was probably one of my favorite parts. Very interesting being able to read about the history of the church. Besides that, we hit so many iconic Boston “must sees” and historical sites that were on my list of things I wanted to do. We didn’t have to Uber to each spot on our own.. (which was what our original plan was to do) we got to see all of them in one day on this tour! What a great experience and definitely worth the the money. I can’t wait to book more excursions through Intrepid Urban Adventures/Viator in the future and hopefully see my newfound friend, Lexi, again.
