If you're driving from the center of Norfolk County, start by getting onto I-95 N from your location. Follow signs for I-95 N/Boston. Merge onto I-93 N and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 20 for I-90 E toward Logan Airport. After about 2 miles, take the exit toward South Boston. Continue on William J Day Blvd for about 1 mile until you reach Castle Island, which will be on your right. There is parking available on-site.

To reach Castle Island by public transport, start by taking the MBTA commuter rail from your nearest station to South Station in Boston. Once you arrive at South Station, transfer to the Red Line subway and head towards Ashmont. Get off at the Broadway Station. From there, you can take bus number 9 towards the Castle Island stop. The bus will take you directly to William J Day Blvd, and Castle Island will be within walking distance.
