Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start by heading towards I-93 South from your current location in Suffolk County. Once on I-93 South, continue for about 3 miles. Take exit 20 for I-90 East toward Logan Airport. Keep left at the fork to stay on I-90 East and follow the signs for Logan Airport. After about 2 miles, take exit 25 for South Boston. Merge onto William J Day Blvd, and you will find Castle Island on your right at 2010 William J Day Blvd. There is parking available in the area.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Castle Island by public transportation, head to the nearest subway station and take the Red Line towards Ashmont. Get off at the Broadway station. From there, transfer to the 9 or 11 bus towards the South Boston area. You will need to get off at the stop labeled 'Castle Island.' Walk a short distance to 2010 William J Day Blvd, where you will find the entrance to Castle Island. Make sure to check the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) schedule for the latest bus times.
