Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the central market in El Mina, which is a popular landmark. From the market, head north on Avenue Moussa Tavele for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l’Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l’Indépendance and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass by several shops and cafes. As you walk, keep an eye out for directional signs pointing to the Presidential Palace, which is known locally as 'Palais Présidentiel.' After about 1 kilometer, you will see the entrance to the Mauritanian Presidential Palace on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from local rental shops in El Mina. Start at the central market and take Avenue Moussa Tavele north. After 500 meters, turn left onto Avenue de l’Indépendance. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. Biking will make the journey quicker, taking around 10 minutes. Be cautious of traffic and pedestrians as you approach the palace, which will be on your right.
