Getting there

Walking

From the center of Pamplemousses, head south towards the main road (Royal Road). Continue walking along Royal Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the A1 road. At this point, you will see signs directing you towards Port Louis. Turn left onto the A1 road and continue for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and food stalls. Keep an eye out for the large green signs indicating Port Louis. Once you reach the roundabout, continue straight and follow the signs for Abercrombie. The Kailassam Temple will be on your right-hand side at VG29+9RW.

Public Bus

From Pamplemousses, make your way to the nearest bus stop located on Royal Road. Look for the bus heading towards Port Louis, which should be clearly marked. Board the bus and keep an eye on your surroundings as the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After about 15 stops, you will arrive at the Abercrombie bus station. Exit the bus and walk along Abercrombie Road for about 5 minutes. The Kailassam Temple will be on your right at VG29+9RW.

Taxi

Locate a taxi stand in Pamplemousses or you can ask your hotel to call for a taxi. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kailassam Temple in Port Louis. The journey should take about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the Kailassam Temple will be located at VG29+9RW. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.
