Walking
If you are starting from the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, exit the garden and turn left onto the A1 road. Walk straight along the A1 for about 3.5 km. You will pass by several local shops and cafes; feel free to stop for a refreshment. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on A1. After approximately 1 km, you will enter Port Louis. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Place d'Armes. The Place d'Armes is a prominent square in Port Louis with beautiful gardens and historical monuments.
Public Transport
From Pamplemousses, head to the nearest bus stop on the A1 road. Look for buses heading towards Port Louis. Board the bus, and inform the driver that you want to get off at Place d'Armes. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Place d'Armes, you will see a large open space surrounded by important buildings including the Government House and the Municipal Theatre.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, exit the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and take a left onto the A1 road. Follow the same route as you would on foot, but be cautious of traffic. The ride to Place d'Armes will take about 20-25 minutes. After reaching Port Louis via the A1, continue towards the center of the city where you will find Place d'Armes. There are bicycle racks available for parking your bike at the square.
