Car Rental

If you are renting a car, start from the capital, Port Mathurin. Head south on the main road (Route 1) towards the village of Baie aux Huîtres. Continue driving for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the junction near the village of Gravier. At the junction, take the left turn onto Route 2 towards Baladirou. Follow Route 2 for about 15 minutes. You will pass through the picturesque countryside of Rodrigues. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Rivière Banane. When you reach the coordinates 8FCH+QJP, you will find parking available along the Unnamed Road leading to Rivière Banane.

Public Bus

To reach Rivière Banane by public transport, start by taking a bus from Port Mathurin to Baie aux Huîtres. Buses operate regularly, and the fare is usually around 20 Mauritian Rupees. Once you arrive at Baie aux Huîtres, you will need to catch a connecting bus to Baladirou. This leg of the journey will cost you approximately 15 Mauritian Rupees. After reaching Baladirou, you will have to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Rivière Banane. Follow the Unnamed Road towards the coordinates 8FCH+QJP, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to the tourist attraction.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Rodrigues to Rivière Banane. Taxis are available in Port Mathurin and can take you directly to the coordinates 8FCH+QJP.
