Car
From Savanne, head northwest on the B9 road towards Bel Ombre. Continue for about 5 km until you reach the intersection with the B103 road. Turn left onto B103. After approximately 3 km, you will see signs for Lion Mountain. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the base of Lion Mountain. Parking is available nearby, but note that there may be a small fee of around 100 MUR for parking.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Savanne towards Bel Ombre. Buses frequently run along the B9 route. Once you arrive at Bel Ombre (approximately 20 minutes), you will need to walk to the entrance of Lion Mountain. It's about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop to the base of the mountain, where you will find signs directing you towards the hiking trail. Be prepared for a small entrance fee of approximately 50 MUR to access the hiking paths.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from any location in Savanne to take you directly to Lion Mountain. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand. The cost should be around 500-800 MUR for a round trip. Make sure to ask the driver to wait for you while you explore, or arrange a pickup time.
