Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Tamarin, head east on Royal Road towards the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, take a right onto the M1 highway. Continue walking along the M1 for about 1.5 km until you reach the bus stop near the Vacoas-Phoenix area. Once at the bus stop, look for a bus heading towards Vacoas-Phoenix, specifically to the Henrietta area. After getting onto the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at Henrietta Branch Road. When you arrive, get off the bus and walk along Henrietta Branch Road, following the signs for Maratha Mandir. The temple will be on your left side, just a short distance down the road.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From Tamarin, walk to the nearest bus stop on the M1 highway. Catch a bus heading towards Vacoas-Phoenix. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Vacoas-Phoenix bus terminal, transfer to a local bus that goes towards Henrietta. Inform the driver that you wish to visit Maratha Mandir. After a short ride, get off at the stop for Henrietta Branch Road. From there, walk down Henrietta Branch Road; you will see Maratha Mandir on your left. The total journey may take about an hour.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tamarin. Start by heading east on Royal Road towards the M1 highway. Once on the M1, you can cycle along the route for approximately 5 km until you reach Vacoas-Phoenix. As you approach Henrietta, look for signs directing you to Henrietta Branch Road. Turn onto Henrietta Branch Road and continue riding until you reach Maratha Mandir, which will be located on your left side. The cycling route is fairly straightforward and should take around 30 minutes, depending on your pace.
