Walking
If you are at the Acapulco Bay area, start by heading southeast towards Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán. Once you reach the avenue, turn left and continue walking. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Juan Álvarez. Turn right onto Calle Juan Álvarez and follow it. You will soon see Plaza Álvarez on your left side. It's a lovely park where you can relax and enjoy the local atmosphere.
Public Transport
You can take a local bus from various points in Acapulco that head towards the city center. Look for buses that display 'Centro' or 'Plaza Álvarez' on the front. Once on the bus, inform the driver you want to get off at Plaza Álvarez. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. After you get off, walk a short distance towards Calle Juan Álvarez, and you will find the plaza.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi. Simply find a taxi stand or use a ride-hailing app if available. Tell the driver to take you to 'Plaza Álvarez, Las Cruces'. The ride from most tourist areas in Acapulco should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Once you arrive, you will be dropped off right at the entrance of the plaza.
