Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Cabo San Lucas, take the scenic Highway 1 north for about 2 hours. You'll pass through the towns of San Jose del Cabo and Todos Santos, which are worth a stop. Continue on Highway 1 until you reach La Paz. Follow signs for 'Centro' as you enter the city. Once in the city, follow Calle 5 de Febrero until you reach the waterfront. The Malecon is located along the waterfront, specifically on P.º Malecón, Zona Central. Parking is available on nearby streets.

• Bus

  For those using public transportation, catch an intercity bus from Cabo San Lucas or La Paz. Buses run frequently and the cost is around 200-300 MXN. In La Paz, disembark at the main bus terminal (Terminal de Autobuses). From there, you can either walk to the Malecon (about a 15-minute walk) or take a local taxi (approximately 50 MXN) to P.º Malecón, Zona Central.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you're already in La Paz and prefer a direct route, use a taxi or a rideshare app like Uber. From most locations in La Paz, you can expect the fare to be between 50-100 MXN depending on your starting point. Simply tell the driver to take you to P.º Malecón in Zona Central, and they will navigate directly there.

• Walking

  If you're staying in a hotel or accommodation in central La Paz, you may be within walking distance of the Malecon. Look for signs directing you towards the waterfront area. It’s a pleasant walk along the streets of La Paz, and you can enjoy local shops and cafes along the way. The Malecon itself is a popular promenade lined with restaurants, art installations, and beautiful views of the bay.
