Public Bus
From your accommodation in Cancun, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida Tulum. Look for a bus heading towards 'Zona Hotelera' or 'Hotel Zone'. The bus fare is inexpensive, usually about 12 pesos. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Playa Tortugas'. Once you get off, walk towards the beach, and you will find the Arrecifes area just a short stroll away.
Taxi
Hail a taxi from your location. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand, as taxis in Cancun do not have meters. The ride to Arrecifes should take about 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Simply tell the driver 'Arrecifes' or show them the address: 77539 Cancún, Quintana Roo. They will take you directly to the destination.
Bicycle Rental
If you enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle from a nearby rental shop. Head towards Avenida Kukulcan, which runs along the Hotel Zone. Follow the bike path towards the south, passing by various hotels and attractions. After about a 30-minute ride, look for the signs leading to Playa Tortugas. From there, Arrecifes is just a short walk along the beach. This is a great way to enjoy the scenery along the way!
Walking
If you are staying close to the beach in the Hotel Zone, you can walk to Arrecifes. Head towards the beach, and walk along the shoreline north. This is a scenic route, and you will pass various restaurants and shops. After about a 30-minute walk, you will reach Arrecifes. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen!
