Getting There

• Bus

  From your location in Cancun, head to the nearest bus stop where you can catch a bus heading along Blvd. Kukulcan. Look for buses marked as 'Hotel Zone' or 'Zona Hotelera'. These buses are frequent and only cost around 12 pesos. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop closest to Playa Tortugas, which should be around the 7.5 km mark on Blvd. Kukulcan, specifically near the intersection with Playa Tortugas. Ask the driver or passengers if you’re unsure. Once you disembark, you will see signs directing you to the beach.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Cancun. Simply find a taxi stand or hail one from the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Playa Tortugas, located on Blvd. Kukulcan in the Hotel Zone. The ride should take approximately 15-25 minutes depending on traffic, and the fare will typically range from 100 to 200 pesos.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, renting a bicycle can be a great way to reach Playa Tortugas. Look for bicycle rental shops in downtown Cancun or along the Hotel Zone. Once you have your bike, head towards Blvd. Kukulcan and follow the cycle paths. Make sure to stay on the designated bike lanes for safety. The ride should take about 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. You will arrive at Playa Tortugas where you can lock your bike and enjoy the beach.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby in the Hotel Zone, walking to Playa Tortugas can be a pleasant option. From your accommodation, head towards Blvd. Kukulcan and walk along the beachfront path. This walk offers beautiful views of the ocean and should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your starting point. Follow the signs for Playa Tortugas once you reach the waterfront.
