Walking
If you are in Downtown Cancun, you can reach Malecón Tajamar by walking. Start at Parque Las Palapas, a central landmark in Downtown. From the park, head east on Avenida Tulum towards Avenida Coba. Turn left onto Avenida Coba and continue until you reach Avenida Bonampak. Turn right onto Avenida Bonampak and walk straight until you hit the intersection with Avenida Rbla. Fonatur. From there, Malecón Tajamar will be in front of you. This walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.
Public Bus
Take the public bus from Downtown Cancun. Look for the bus labeled 'Hotel Zone' or 'Zona Hotelera' that departs from the main bus stops near Parque Las Palapas. The fare is around 12 pesos (approximately 0.60 USD). Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, and ask the driver to let you know when you reach Malecón Tajamar. You will get off at the closest stop, and from there, it’s just a short walk to the entrance.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber. From any location in Downtown Cancun, request a ride to 'Malecón Tajamar, Av. Rbla. Fonatur'. The cost should range from 70 to 100 pesos (approximately 3.50 to 5 USD), and the ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
