Getting There

• Bus

  To reach Punta Cancun Lighthouse, start by heading to the nearest bus stop along Boulevard Kukulcan. Look for the R1 or R2 buses, which frequently run along the Hotel Zone. Board the bus heading towards Punta Cancun. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for the stop near Km 9, which is directly by the Punta Cancun Lighthouse. Once you get off, walk towards the water, and you will see the lighthouse nearby.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi. You can hail a taxi from anywhere in the Hotel Zone, or ask your hotel concierge to arrange one for you. Inform the driver that you want to go to Punta Cancun Lighthouse at Blvd. Kukulcan Km. 9. The drive should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. When you arrive, you will see the lighthouse right along the beachfront.

• Bicycle

  For an adventurous option, rent a bicycle from a nearby rental shop or your hotel. Start pedaling along Boulevard Kukulcan towards Punta Cancun. It's a straight route, and the distance is about 5 km. You will pass several hotels and attractions along the way. Keep an eye out for the Km 9 marker, which indicates that you are almost there. Once you reach the lighthouse, you can park your bike nearby and enjoy the beautiful views.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to Punta Cancun, you might want to walk to the lighthouse. Navigate towards Boulevard Kukulcan and follow it heading east. Depending on your starting point, it could take around 30-40 minutes on foot. Look for landmarks such as the nearby hotels and beach areas. Make sure to stay hydrated and watch for traffic as you walk along the boulevard. When you reach Km 9, the lighthouse will be visible from the road.
