Public Bus
From Downtown Cancun, walk to the nearest bus stop along Avenida Tulum. Look for a bus heading towards the Hotel Zone, marked with 'Zona Hotelera' or 'Hotel Zone' on the front. The fare is typically around 12-15 pesos (about $0.60 - $0.75 USD). Ride the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop near the El Rey Archaeological Zone. The stop you need is called 'El Rey'. Once you disembark, follow the signs to the archaeological site, which is just a short walk away.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare service like Uber. From Downtown Cancun, simply request a ride to 'El Rey Archaeological Zone' or provide the address: 'Hotel Zone, 77500 Cancún, Quintana Roo'. The cost will vary but expect to pay around 100-150 pesos (approximately $5 - $7.50 USD) for the ride, and it should take about 15 minutes, depending on traffic.
