From your accommodation in Cancun, walk to the nearest bus stop that services public transportation. Look for a bus heading towards Puerto Juarez or Isla Mujeres. The bus fare is usually around 12 pesos. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you would like to stop at El Meco. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After getting off, walk about 10 minutes along the Carretera Puerto Juarez towards the site. The entrance will be on your right.
Taxi or Rideshare
You can use a local taxi or a rideshare service like Uber. Request a ride to 'El Meco Archaeological Site' located at Carretera Puerto Juarez, López Portillo, 77520 Cancún. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the drop-off location with the driver. Once you arrive, the entrance to the site will be clearly marked.
