Continue on this road for approximately 45 kilometers until you see signs for Teotihuacan. Exit onto the road leading to Teotihuacan and follow the signs for 'Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan'. After passing through the town, keep heading towards the archaeological site, and you will find La Ciudadela located at Acceso a Calzada de los Muertos por Prta 1 29, 55825 Méx. Parking is available near the site, typically costing around 50 pesos for a day. Make sure to check for any parking fees upon arrival.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach La Ciudadela via public transportation, start at the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros de Observatorio in Mexico City. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Teotihuacan, which costs around 100 pesos and takes about an hour. Once you arrive at the Teotihuacan bus terminal, look for local transport options such as colectivos or taxis that can take you directly to La Ciudadela. The fare for a colectivo is typically around 30 pesos per person. Alternatively, you can walk to the archaeological site, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus terminal.
Public Transportation - Metro and Bus
For a more economical route using public transportation, take the Metro from anywhere in Mexico City to the 'Indios Verdes' station (Line 3). Once at Indios Verdes, exit and locate the bus terminal just outside of the metro station. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Teotihuacan. The ticket will cost approximately 100 pesos and the journey takes about an hour. After arriving at the Teotihuacan bus terminal, either take a colectivo or a taxi to La Ciudadela for about 30 pesos, or walk for about 20 minutes to reach your destination.
