Once you arrive at the Tuxtla Gutiérrez terminal, take a taxi or an ADO bus to the Cañón del Sumidero entrance, which is approximately a 30-minute drive.

From San Cristóbal de las Casas, go to the main street near the market (Mercado Municipal). Find a colectivo (shared taxi) that goes to Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The ride will take about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Cañón del Sumidero or find another colectivo that specifically goes there, which takes about 30 more minutes.
