Walking
From the center of Palenque, head south on Calle 16 de Septiembre until you reach the intersection with Calle 2a Norte. Turn right onto Calle 2a Norte and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the main road, Palenque - Pakalná. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Cabeza Maya will be on your left, just before you reach the Pakalna neighborhood.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Palenque, such as 'Bikes Palenque' located near the ADO bus station. After renting a bike, head south on Calle 16 de Septiembre, turn onto Calle 2a Norte, and follow the same route as mentioned above. The bike ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your speed.
Public Transport (Collectivo)
To take a collectivo (shared taxi), walk to the nearest collectivo stop on the main road near the ADO bus station. Look for collectivos that are heading towards Pakalna. The fare is usually around 10-15 MXN. Inform the driver to drop you off at Cabeza Maya or near the Pakalna neighborhood, and then walk the remaining distance to the site, which should be just a short walk from where you are dropped off.
