Getting There

Walking
Start at the main plaza in San Cristobal de las Casas (Plaza de la Paz). From the plaza, head south on Calle 16 de Septiembre until you reach the intersection with Calle Francisco I. Madero. Turn left onto Madero and continue until you reach the bus terminal (Terminal de Autobuses). This walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Once at the bus terminal, you will need to take a collectivo (shared taxi) heading to Tenejapa. The fare is usually around 30-50 MXN.

Board the collectivo heading to Tenejapa at the bus terminal. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the El Arcotete stop. The collectivo will drop you off at a point near the entrance to El Arcotete. Please ensure to have cash ready, as most collectivos do not accept card payments.

Once you get off the collectivo, walk for about 10 minutes along the dirt path that leads to El Arcotete. Follow the signs that indicate the direction to the park. The area is well-marked, and you should be able to find your way easily.
