Walking
If you are in the center of San Cristobal de las Casas, start by heading towards the main square, Plaza 31 de Marzo. From the square, walk along Avenida 20 de Noviembre until you reach the intersection with Avenida Ignacio Allende. Turn left onto Avenida Ignacio Allende and continue walking. You will eventually reach the outskirts of the city. Keep walking straight until you see signs for 'Río Arcotete,' which is around 8 km from the city center. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
