If you're staying in the downtown area of Tuxtla Gutierrez, you can easily walk to Museo de la Marimba. Head southeast on Avenida 5 de Febrero towards Calle 9a Sur. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Calle Novena Pte. Sur. Turn left onto Calle Novena Pte. Sur and walk for approximately 15-20 minutes. The museum will be on your right side, located at Calle Novena Pte. Sur S/N, El Cerrito.

To take a public bus, locate a bus stop that serves routes heading towards El Cerrito. Buses are frequent and cost around 10 MXN. Board the bus and ask the driver to let you off at Museo de la Marimba or look for signs indicating El Cerrito. After getting off, walk a short distance along Calle Novena Pte. Sur until you reach the museum.
