Walking
If you are staying in or around the Centro area of Tuxtla Gutierrez, you can easily walk to Parque de la Marimba. Start at the main square, Parque de la Paz, and head south on Avenida Central Pte. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Parque de la Marimba, which will be on your left. The park is located at Av Central Pte S/N, Centro, 29000 Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chis.
Public Bus
You can catch a local bus that goes towards the Centro area. Look for buses marked 'Centro' or 'Parque de la Marimba.' The fare is usually around 10-15 pesos. Once on the bus, inform the driver of your destination, and they will alert you when it's time to get off. After disembarking, walk a short distance towards Avenida Central Pte, and you will find Parque de la Marimba nearby.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi to Parque de la Marimba. Taxis are readily available in the city. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey, which should be approximately 50-80 pesos from most locations in the city center. Just inform the driver of your destination, and they will take you directly to the park located at Av Central Pte S/N, Centro, 29000 Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chis.
Bicycle Rental
For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops around the Centro area. Rentals typically cost around 50 pesos per hour. From the rental shop, head towards Avenida Central Pte and cycle south for about 1 kilometer until you reach Parque de la Marimba on your left.
