Getting There

Walking
If you are staying in Ixtapa, start at the main Ixtapa beach. Walk towards the commercial area along Blvd. Ixtapa. Keep walking until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with Av. Paseo de la Marina. From the roundabout, take the exit towards Av. Paseo de la Marina and continue straight. You will pass several shops and restaurants. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which leads you towards Vista Hermosa. Continue straight, and you will see signs for El Faro. The restaurant is located on Colina de las Palomas, which is slightly uphill, so be prepared for a short climb.

From your accommodation in Ixtapa, head to the nearest bus stop. Board a local bus heading towards Zihuatanejo. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Vista Hermosa. After about 10-15 minutes, you will arrive at the Vista Hermosa neighborhood. Once you disembark, walk towards the hillside and look for signs directing you to El Faro. It’s about a 10-minute walk uphill from the bus stop, so be prepared for some incline.
