Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Huatulco, head east on Carretera Transístmica/México 200. Continue for about 18 km until you reach the town of San Miguel del Puerto. Look for signs indicating the road to Cascadas Magicas de Copalitilla. Once you approach the area, you may need to pay a small entrance fee, typically around $50 MXN per person, to access the waterfalls. Follow the road signs carefully, as some parts may not be well marked.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cascadas Magicas de Copalitilla using public transportation, take a colectivo (shared taxi) from Huatulco to San Miguel del Puerto. The colectivos can be found at designated stands in Huatulco. The fare is usually around $50 MXN per person. Once in San Miguel del Puerto, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk the remaining distance to the waterfalls, which is about 5 km. Confirm the taxi fare beforehand, as it can vary.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from San Miguel del Puerto after reaching by colectivo, take the road towards the waterfalls. It’s a scenic route, but be prepared for a hike. Ensure you have water and snacks, as it can take about 1.5 to 2 hours to walk to the falls.
