Start by taking the Metro Line 12 (the Gold Line) from any station in Mexico City towards Mixcoac. If you are starting from a station on another line, transfer to Line 12 at the nearest interchange station. Get off at the 'Tláhuac' station, which is the last stop on Line 12. Once you arrive at Tláhuac, exit the station and head to the nearby bus terminal.

At the Tláhuac bus terminal, look for buses heading towards Xochimilco. You can take either the 'Xochimilco' or 'El Rosario' bus routes. Make sure to ask the driver if the bus stops at Mercado Xochimilco, or check the destination sign on the bus. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the stop closest to Av. 16 de Septiembre.

Once you get off the bus, walk towards Av. 16 de Septiembre. The Mercado Xochimilco 2a sección is located directly on this avenue. Follow the street until you see the market entrance. It's a well-known spot, so locals can also help guide you if needed.
