Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the main square of Coyoacán, known as Jardín Centenario, head towards the northwest exit of the square towards the street called Avenida Francisco Sosa. Walk along Avenida Francisco Sosa for about 10 minutes, enjoying the charming colonial architecture. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Coyoacanense. Turn left onto Calle de la Coyoacanense, and you will see Hernan Cortés' House located at Jardín Plaza Hidalgo 1 on your right. It’s a short walk and a beautiful way to experience the area.

• Public Transport (Metro)

  If you are further away in Coyoacán, you can take the Metro to get closer. Head to the nearest Metro station, which is Viveros-Derecha, on Line 3 (the green line). Take the train in the direction of Indios Verdes and get off at the next station, which is Coyoacán. From there, exit the station and walk towards Plaza Hidalgo. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the station. Head east on Calle de las Flores until you reach Jardín Plaza Hidalgo, where Hernan Cortés' House is located.

• Bus

  You can also take a bus to reach Hernan Cortés' House. Find a bus stop along Avenida Miguel Ángel de Quevedo and board a bus heading towards Coyoacán Centro. The fare is approximately 10 MXN. Get off at the stop near Plaza Hidalgo. From there, it’s a short walk to Hernan Cortés' House, located at Jardín Plaza Hidalgo 1. Just follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
