Car
From Mulegé, take the main road towards Highway 1. Head southeast on Avenida 16 de Septiembre until you reach the junction with Highway 1. Turn left onto Highway 1 (Carretera Transpeninsular) heading south. Continue for approximately 14 kilometers (about 8.7 miles). Look for signs indicating 'Prismas Basálticos' or 'Cananea'. Turn right onto the road that leads to Cananea. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Prismas Basálticos. There may be a small parking fee, so keep some cash handy.
Public Transportation
To reach Prismas Basálticos via public transportation, start from Mulegé's main plaza. Look for a local bus or colectivo heading towards Santa Rosalía or Loreto. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Cananea. From there, you can either walk (approximately 2 kilometers) or wait for a taxi to take you the rest of the way to Prismas Basálticos. Be sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your ride. The total travel time may take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the bus schedule and waiting times.
