If you are in the main area of Puerto Escondido, head towards the coast. You can start from Playa Principal (the main beach) and walk along the beach promenade. Follow the coastline south until you reach Playa Zicatela. Punta Zicatela is situated at the southern end of the beach. This walk should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace, and offers beautiful views of the ocean.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the central area of Puerto Escondido. Cycle along the main road towards Playa Zicatela. Follow the road that runs parallel to the beach. After about 2 kilometers, you will start to see signs for Punta Zicatela. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Locate a collectivo (shared taxi) stand in the central area of Puerto Escondido. Collectivos heading to Zicatela are frequent. Get on a collectivo that has 'Zicatela' displayed. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the beach. From there, walk a short distance towards the southern end to reach Punta Zicatela.
