Getting there

Bus

From the city center of Puerto Vallarta, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located along Avenida Mexico. Look for a bus heading towards 'El Tuito' or 'Mismaloya'. Once on the bus, ask the driver to drop you off at the stop for 'Palo Maria waterfall'. It should take approximately 30-40 minutes. After getting off, walk towards the direction of the waterfall, following the signs or asking locals for further directions.

Taxi

Find a taxi in the city center or request one through a ride-hailing app. Communicate with the driver your destination: 'Palo Maria waterfall, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco'. The drive should take around 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the vicinity, it may require a short walk to reach the waterfall area.

Walking

If you are staying within walking distance or just want to enjoy the surroundings, start at the Puerto Vallarta Malecón. Walk south along the coast until you reach the junction with Avenida Mexico. Turn onto Avenida Mexico and continue south until you reach the bus station. From there, take a bus as described above. Note that walking the entire distance to Palo Maria waterfall is not practical due to the distance and terrain.
