Getting There

Car

From Sayulita, head south on Avenida Revolución towards the highway (Carretera 200). Turn left onto Carretera 200 and follow the signs towards Punta de Mita. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will see signs for the Marietas Islands tour companies. Park your car in one of the designated parking areas near the beach in Punta de Mita. Note that parking may incur a fee, typically around 50-100 MXN.
Public Transportation

To reach Punta de Mita from Sayulita using public transportation, walk to the main road (Carretera 200) and take a bus heading towards Punta de Mita. The fare is usually around 30-50 MXN. Once you arrive in Punta de Mita, walk towards the beach where you will find several tour operators offering boat trips to the Marietas Islands. The boat trip usually costs between 800-1200 MXN per person, depending on the operator and inclusions.

Once you are in Punta de Mita, select a boat tour operator and book your trip to the Marietas Islands. The tours often include snorkeling gear, a guide, and sometimes refreshments.
