Public Transport
From downtown Tijuana, head to the Tijuana bus station (Central de Autobuses) located at Boulevard Cuauhtémoc Norte. Take a bus heading towards the San Ysidro border crossing. Once you arrive at the San Ysidro border, follow the signs to the pedestrian crossing and cross into the United States. After crossing, continue walking straight to the Otay Mesa bus terminal. From there, you can catch a bus to downtown San Diego.

Once you arrive in downtown San Diego, navigate to 4th Avenue. Walk north along 4th Avenue until you reach 868 Fourth Ave, located in the Gaslamp Quarter. Balboa Theatre will be on your right side. Look for the prominent signage.

Trolley
If you prefer to take the San Diego Trolley, from the border, after crossing into the U.S., walk to the closest Trolley station, which is the San Ysidro Trolley station. Board the Blue Line trolley towards 'UTC' and get off at the '12th & Imperial' station. Transfer to the Orange Line trolley towards 'Courthouse' and get off at the 'Gaslamp Quarter' station. From there, walk east along G Street and turn left onto 4th Avenue. The Balboa Theatre will be on your left at 868 Fourth Ave.
