Public Bus
From downtown Tijuana, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the Tijuana to San Diego bus (usually marked as the 'Border Bus'). This bus will take you to the San Ysidro border crossing. Once you arrive at San Ysidro, follow the signs to the pedestrian crossing into the United States. After crossing the border, you will find yourself at the San Ysidro Transit Center. From there, take the MTS Blue Line trolley towards 'Old Town' and get off at the 'La Jolla' stop. From the trolley station, you can either take a short Uber ride or walk to La Jolla Cove, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.
Taxi or Rideshare
While in Tijuana, use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft to book a ride directly to La Jolla Cove. Simply enter 'La Jolla Cove, San Diego, CA' as your destination. Keep in mind that you will need to cross the border into the United States, so ensure you have your passport ready. The driver will take you to the San Ysidro border crossing, where you will walk across to San Diego. After crossing, the driver will meet you on the U.S. side and continue to take you to La Jolla Cove, which is about a 30-minute drive from the border.
