Public Bus
From the center of Tijuana, head to the 'Tijuana Central' bus station. Look for the bus labeled 'Chula Vista' or 'San Diego.' Confirm with the driver that they stop in Chula Vista. Once on the bus, enjoy the ride, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Chula Vista stop. From there, you can take a local bus (route 701) towards 'Gunpowder Point.' Get off at the stop closest to 1000 Gunpowder Point Dr. The Living Coast Discovery Center will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Taxi or Rideshare
To reach the Living Coast Discovery Center via taxi or rideshare (like Uber), simply request a ride from your current location in Tijuana and enter the destination as '1000 Gunpowder Point Dr, Chula Vista, CA 91910.' The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you have your passport with you for the border crossing, as you will be entering the United States.
Walking and Public Transport
If you prefer to walk, start from Avenida Revolución, a popular tourist area in Tijuana. Walk to the 'Tijuana Central' bus station, which is about a 20-minute walk. Once there, follow the instructions for taking the bus to Chula Vista. After you arrive in Chula Vista, transfer to the local bus (route 701) as described previously. This option allows you to experience the local culture along the way.
