Public Bus
From Tijuana, head to the Tijuana-San Diego border at San Ysidro. Cross the border on foot, which will take you through the pedestrian crossing. Once you reach the US side, follow the signs to the San Ysidro Transit Center. From there, take the Blue Line Trolley towards 'America Plaza.' Get off at the 'America Plaza' station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the intersection of W C Street and Pacific Highway. From there, walk 3 blocks west to 200 W Island Ave, where you will find The New Children's Museum.
Taxi or Rideshare
After crossing the border into the United States at San Ysidro, you can find taxis or rideshare services like Uber and Lyft available. Simply request a ride to '200 W Island Ave, San Diego, CA 92101.' The journey should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm that the driver knows your destination before you start your ride.
Walking
If you prefer to walk after crossing the border, you can head towards the I-5 North freeway entrance. Follow the signs for the pedestrian path. This route will lead you towards the San Ysidro Transit Center. From there, you can walk 3 blocks west to reach The New Children's Museum at 200 W Island Ave. Note that this is a longer walk and may take about 45-60 minutes.
