Tijuana Beach Promenade: A Coastal Oasis

Getting There

• Trolley

  If you're in downtown Tijuana, head to the nearest Trolley station, located at the Plaza Viva Tijuana. Board the Tijuana Trolley heading towards the San Ysidro border. You'll need to pay a small fare, typically around $2. Once you reach the San Ysidro station, disembark and follow the signs to the pedestrian crossing into the U.S. After crossing, head to the 'Tijuana' exit which will lead you to the Tijuana Beach Promenade.

• Public Bus

  From anywhere in Tijuana, locate a nearby bus stop. You can take the 'Ruta 2' bus which runs frequently and heads towards Playas de Tijuana. Confirm with the driver that they go to the beach area. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at the 'Playa' stop, which will place you within walking distance of Tijuana Beach Promenade. Walk towards the ocean and follow the promenade along the coast.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the coastal area of Tijuana, walking to the Tijuana Beach Promenade can be quite pleasant. Simply head west towards the coast, following the main roads that lead to the beach. Look for signs pointing towards 'Playa' or 'Playas de Tijuana.' The promenade is located along P.º Costero, where you can enjoy the ocean views and local attractions.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hail a taxi. Simply tell the driver 'Tijuana Beach Promenade' or show them the address: P.º Costero, Costa, 22504 Tijuana, B.C. The ride should take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare beforehand if the taxi is not using a meter.
